Anyone know any good resellers? I'm looking at GoDaddy and ResellerZoom but I'm kind of hesitant as I don't want to waste money on something that's not worth it.
For non-warez, I would go with hostgator They may be a bit more expensive but the servers are very good.
I used to use Hostcentric.com but I didn't get many customers (like 2) so I had to shut down but that was back in 1999-2000 when website demand was not very high.I've heard that they have changed hands several times since that tho and (I've heard that)the customer service is not so good anymore.
I plan to restart my reseller hosting soon tho and I'm checking out several resellers. Datapacket.net is another one.
Wow! Datapacket and hostcentric have both boosted their space and bandwidth allotments..I just checked their websites. Datapacket gives 100GB for $9.99(reseller)..It was 10GB for the same $9.99 about 6 months ago. Hostcentric gives 300GB for $9.99..check reseller section for reseller price
im using resellerzoom frm quite a while, not a issue at all, but make sure u back up well as they do not have earlier back ups.
I have resellerzoom but only for a few days now. For reselling I think it is expensive. I bought it to basically host my own sites rather than dealing with a middleman. What do you mean "make sure u back up well as they do not have earlier back ups."
worst host. good only for low traffic sites. currently am using micfo.com. not as cheap as resellerzoom.com, but much much better.
Certainly more pricey than resellerzoom. It would be hard to make any money hosting with them. Thanks for the info. I have them bookmarked if resellerzoom doesn't work.
resellerzoom.com is good if you have lots of small sites. I had lots of problems with my database-based sites. e.g. with my vbulletin-based site, I used to get 5-10 "database disconnected" errors per day. At that time, I had just 20 members and 20 uniques a day. I haven't got a single error with micfo in September. Now my forum has 500 members and 600+ uniques a day.
I had lot of problems with vbulletin and articledashboard sites. However, my wordpress blog did fine (my blog doesn't have much traffic).
What are you wanting to do with your reseller account? If you are wanting to setup lots of accounts then I would probably go with resellerzoom because they allow overselling. In fact, I'd highly recommend them to anyone. I have used both in the past and simply prefer resellerzoom.
200 isn't much. I guess it shouldn't be much of a problem. However in future if you expect the number to go up substantially, I suggest you look elsewhere. I was on server "Hudson" and it was total crap.
