There is a thread in this forum created by a DP friend who lost money due to the ignorance of Paypal. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=493062 And he is not alone. Each of us have got a bad experience like this from paypal. Is Paypal safe for our transactions? Thats our poll today.
I have done well over a thousand transactions with Paypal and have never had a problem. It all depends on who you deal with. Scam artist can manipulate any payment system to complete a scam. Any time you deal with digital products, you take the risk of being scammed as a seller or buyer.
Of course it is. If you do get scammed, it will be buy the person who you are dealing with and not Paypal (Ebay).
they are pretty good, nice support, i had huge issue of $1500 theft which they solved in 2 days, all my money got back in my account.
That is what it is all about, making money. They charge those big fees because people need the service and are willing to pay them. It sucks but from their viewpoint, it is very smart economics.
remember its a ebay company ebay has 13,200 employees sales of $6.8 Bn a year income of $1.4bn more details here : http://moneycentral.msn.com/companyreport?Symbol=EBay hope this helps
I think paypal is safe. Just use common sense when accepting or sending money to someone. Some people say the fees are high. Go and get a merchant account and see how much more it would cost you. Or have the person send you payment through the mail, the old fashioned way. Wow, the internet sure is changing the way we live isn't it.
I have never had a problem out of them. The company seems safe to me, not everyone that use it though. But I am sure you cant get your money back if something did go wrong.
I've had a Premier account for well over 5 years and have never had a problem with PayPal either as a buyer or seller
