Please use descriptive titles for your threads.

Just on the first page right now I see titles like these:

    Map
    Guys
    What the heck???
    what the heck is this???
    Gutted
    honeymoon
    signature
    need help plz

Cmon! This is your forum but mine too. Take a second to think about what we see and how it helps users to know a little about what the hell it is your posting before we waste our time clicking on it.

    Thank you

u can just move ur mouse over it and read inside, if u do not want to click on the thread. u wont be able to stop those, every one has their own way to put a title,

ill write a bigger one next time though

Not picking on anyone in particular, just a pet peeve of mine and I wanted to remind people.

Its pretty much forum posting 101 to me.

The mouseover previews do help though...

Sometimes the shorter thread title creates more interest. For example, that thread that was just titled "Guys" - If it had a title that said "Please come and vote for this pretty girl" I never would have read it. But since it simply said "Guys" I read it just to find out what it was about.

    Just becuase I didn't reply doesn't mean I didn't see it. :p

I don't like being tricked into reading a thread. Maybe DP should have infractions for stupid, short titles and double infractions for writing posts like texting or IM'ing. The infraction message could be "u r getting an infraction 4 ur bad post format"

Come on little boys, make a decent title, use the shift key, spell out one syllable words, and attempt to use some punctuation. Class is dismissed. :D

It's not really a trick, it's just bait... A teaser... A trick would be a title that said "Pics of Hot Naked Women" and then the thread was about global politics.

But I definately agree with you on the spelling out the one syllable words. You have a keyboard in front of you, not a number pad, USE IT!

It's almost as bad as someone using a picture of a buffalo as an avatar leading people to think they might actually be a really cool buffalo chillin at DP. :D

Here's one of the coolest buffaloes I met while working on Relient K's website a few years back, he actually toured with the band.

I am not sure but there was a buffalo here that turned purple or pink and kept blurting out "I am a girl". I think the buffalo went incognito or on tour. I'll let you know if I see em again.

Sounds like a very strange buffalo. I'd avoid a bufffalo like that, if I ever met one. :D:D:D
