HI. I thought the auction ended at 5 pm not 5:01 pm. Wasn't my bid of $255 the winning bid at 5 pm? :)

I just checked out the time on Craigedmonds last post and you are absolutely right. I apologise profusely to both parties for the confusion.

    Please check your PMs.

I appreciate the clarification. I have lost many an ebay bid, for example, through my timing. Anyway, pm me your paypal info, etc. and I will send your payment.

    Thanks.

    Hi Guys,

The bidding was closed at 5pm GMT, and Aldouspi's bid was actually at 5.55pm GMT so I actually won the bid at 8.43 GMT this morning.

    Am I incorrect?

Doh! (Slaps self on forehead) Now that I've put my specs on I can see that what I thought was a five is actually a six. This means that Craigedmonds did indeed have the winning bid at 8:43 GMT this morning. Once again my apologies for the confusion - So to clarify:-

Craigedmonds has the winning bid and gets the site and the domain.

I placed the bid at 4:55 pm GMT, five minutes prior to 5 pm GMT. Notice how you officially responded to the end of the auction at 5:17 GMT! So you knew when the auction was going to close. My bid is the closest before the time limit. Current GMT time when I am posting this is 6:19 pm.

If you have a different measurement for GMT time let me know...

It appears that there are different GMT times now. Perhaps this is due to the various daylight savings time. I don't know. I used the GMT as recorded at http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_UTC.aspx. The seller used a different, but legitimate GMT time, and as the seller sets the rules I have no complaints. My best wishes to the new owner.

    Just two more comments.

One when you give a time limit perhaps giving a time providing website as a guide would prevent such confusion in the future.

A BIN might have also removed this confusion. I would have gone higher...

Again an interesting auction and best wishes to seller and new owner. :)
