Yes, that is correct. The toolbar page rank is updated about 3-4 times a year, while the real pagerank Google uses in its algorithm is updated daily.

Nope there isn't. The tools that pretend to predict Google PR are inaccurate.

only google knows it! Os better yet, don't focus on the PR! depend on the age of the. I'm thinking that I wish theirs a tool that can check the age of a site!

I'm using http://www.seologs.com/dns/domain-check.html to see how old a domain name is. That's what you needed, right?

For what URL did you check?

I've never encountered that error before.

PR is dead for the end-user. Google doesn't want us to know PR because it was being abused and it was being used as a guide for paid text link advertisers who weren't using Google's advertising system. Google was gaining very little in giving this information to the public and it was helping scammers and the competition.

Google seems to hide all of the clue to improved SERP. The only thing that we can do is experiment some techniques to improved SERP.

People get confused thinking that PR is how Google comes up with their SERPS. It's not that simple. I see a lot of people looking for easy simple answers. There are none. Things are complicated. :)

If this is true then we should buy text links from blogs with a lot of backlinks and good SERPS but no pr. Its ten times cheaper and it should have the same value.

That's what I've been doing, and it works very well so far. We'll see how it goes long-term. So far, it looks like a link is a link, and if it gets crawled, it gets added to the link profile and SERPs go up. It does seem to be that simple...but of course time will tell.
