    Hi there,

I want to know that 1000 targeted/unique visitors are enough for selling a product on a website.

    Regards

    Hi there,

    Thanks for your reply.

I want to sell at least 5 products per day out of 1000 targeted visitors.

Product price is $ 10-15 with 5 free bonuses.

Please tell me is it possible to sell at least 5 products per day with 1000 targeted visitors.

    Regards

Yeh, it's "possible", but without knowing your situation it's hard to say anything else. There are questions that needs answers, questions like:
    1) Can these people afford to pay $10-15?
    2) Is the product such a product that can be easily sold cheaper with same quality - and is there no unique benefits when buying from you? (books for example are same products no matter where you buy the product, the delivery/service can be different)
    3) Is there competition that can beat you easily? (for example - are you trying to sell what Amazon sells, but only with a higher price)
    4) How targeted visitors those really are? If they are visitors who specifically look to "buy product X", then you might have a good chances to convert them. If on the other hand they are "book readers", you might not be able to convince them to buy your fiction book, if they in like reading fact books.

It boils down to this: you have to test it. Why not spending some bucks to adwords and see how well your visitors convert? Or perhaps try getting 10-20 targeted visitors per day (after one-two weeks you might have a better idea if they convert)

Well that depends on many factors:

    1. What do you want to sell

    2. Where is the traffic coming from

    3. Source of traffic and KEYWords

    4. Type of content..

It would depend on lots of factors.. You can get conversions from even just 200 visitors..and some might even remain blank with having more then 3k visitors..

The above mentioned would affect things..Content plays a vital role in conversions.. and the sourcce of taffic as well.. traffic coming from irrelevant sites and Wrong KW's would not bring conversions even though visitor count would increse..

Content and KW's would be on priority

    Hope that helps..

It depends on what products are you selling and how you have targeted your customer (How you have selected your targets). If your selection is perfect this quantity is more than enough....

If you have an ecommerce site, you must target more than that

its really too hard to answer your question without more specific info about what you are selling and where the traffic is coming from.

I mean you could get 10,000 visitors but if you are selling a piece of poop in a box than you wont make any sales. But if you are selling ipod nanos for $15 you will sell to 100% of your visitors.

You really need to just take to test the waters and see if your able to sell anything. Start with a small budget, get some advertising and see how it goes. Make improvements where you can and increase your ad spending.

it depends that the traffic u r getting (1000 visitor ) are from your target market.

for example if some body comes to ur site for 'mouse' and your are selling 'keyboards' then even u have 2000 visitors .. you will not get any sell.

Your 1000 Unique visitors should be 'targeted visitors'

Of course that's enough traffic to sell a product but it also depends of what kind of product.

    Hi there,

    Thanks all your replies.

Well, I provide the more specific information on my original question.

    Please consider the following scenario.

    1. I have a network of 20 websites and every website is built on some specific keywords (that are close to my main product).
    2. Every website generates 200 visitors per day.
    3. Every website sells the same product.
    4. 50% users on the websites come (through search engines) to find the information (by typing the keywords), which are very related to my product.
    5. On average I have 1000 targeted visitors (which are really looking for the information or help, that is very close to my product).
    6. My product price ranges from $ 10 to $ 15 with 5 (UNIQUE GIFTS, WHICH EVERY USER ON MY SITES WILL LIKE TO HAVE WHETHER HE/SHE BUY THE PRODUCT OR NOT).
    7. Topic wise all the websites in my network are closely related with each other.

Based on the above scenario please tell me what minimum sales can be generated from 1000 visitors (visitors main source is Google, Yahoo and MSN).

If anyone would like to suggest me a better scenario and help of marketing my product then I will be thankful for the suggestions.

    Best Regards

The minimum sales generated would be none.
There's no guarantee that anyone will buy anything.
Even if what you're selling is a nice product, and your traffic is targeted, if you don't have an easy and safe looking payment method people won't buy.
On the other hand, if you do, and your site's easy to use, and the product's nice and the prices are reasonable, people will buy.

I don't know what you expect people to tell you - the only way you'll find out is if you try it.

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the replies.

The product category is Ebook, which is highly unique in it's niche. Plus 3-5 Free supporting software, which every indiviual of that community will love to have whether they buy the ebook or not.

Payment methods would be Paypal, 2CO, Google Checkout.

As other members suggested me, I will definitely give it a try with a good amount of targeted traffic.

Anyways, thanks for your suggestions and feedback.

    Regards
    bushib
