Will it help my directory?

Hi,
I was wondering to submit my sites in alivedirectory and some other sites but I saw that those directories are penalized by google, so if I submit my sites in them, will they help my SERPS or it will infect it? I know that alivedirectory is one of the best, strongest directories but just asking

I would use google search "web directory" and submit to some of those .. Maybe that's safest bet .. Or maybe it's just a matter of time they are also penalized .. And if you are not in a hurry ... Why not waiting couple of weeks and see what happens?

 

they are still very good directories imho.

if you like to get listed go do it.

I doubt anyone here can truly answer your question as no one truly knows what Google is up to with penalizing these sites. Google ain't talking and only they know exactly why they did what they did.

While it would never make sense for Google to penalize a site for what other sites link to it; the return on your investment for the paid review may or may not have the value it once did on the penalized sites - only time will tell. Any other answer is purely speculation or based on loyalty to the directories' owners.
