akula, I'm proud to have taken the position I took. While you and others pretend to care about soldiers, you were the first ones in that thread stabbing them in the back, based upon "allegations."

Those "allegations" came from two soldiers who got caught sleeping on duty.

I give our soldiers the benefit of the doubt. I don't convict them in the court of public opinion based upon allegations in a thread started by an islamist.

Somehow, you believe that standing up for soldiers is unpatriotic. Just like you believe saying anything good about America is unpatriotic. What a twisted and warped sense of reality and denial.

I made my point. If you are going to at least pretend you care about our soldiers and our country, you might consider taking a look at your posts. As clearly, in 650 some odd posts at the time, you've failed to find even a single post where you've said anything positive about America...where you've defended her even once.

If you want the glory that comes with the perception of standing up for your country or being patriotic, perhaps you should try actually doing it for a change. I won't tear you down for saying something good about our country. I won't tear you down for defending our soldiers.

It's hilarious that these self proclaimed "patriots" can't even find just one post that is even remotely positive towards the US in any aspect never mind a patriotic one:D

The US completely sucks, nothing is right with the country in any respect, i have nothing positive to say about the US, i just point out everything that's wrong with it & that's everything, however i'm not anti-US, i'm patriotic;)

It's really sad. Delusional disorder defined. By their logic and reasoning, I support al qaida like gworld does and can't wait for islam to rule the world.

This is a politics/religion forum. Almost every thread started politics wise here is concerning America's war with Iraq, or our relations with Iran. So it would only make sense that those who despise our current foreign policy are going to have a LOT of negative things to say.

If there are threads about other aspects of American culture, you'll probably find me praising them. I love my country, but I think we have a lot of problems we need to fix. So yes, you will find me constantly with a negative attitude in most of the threads I post in here, which are foreign policy threads, because I vehemently disagree with US foreign policy. Does that not make sense?

Can people image what kind of world we lived in if there was never criticism or change?

What if the American Revolution had never happened? What if people had not challenged the authority of the British Monarch to force Americans to borrow money and pay interest as a form of tribute?

If people had not taken action against an unjust government, we might never have had an American Republic. We might be another Commonwealth country like Canada or Australia, without our strong tradition of independence.

It doesn't matter whether Ahmadinejad was involved. He approves of the hostage taking of the American embassy in 1979

Good points & you are right questions need to be asked & criticism is needed sometimes of any government. However not all the time & the good they are doing needs also to be pointed out, but some people are so far left that they actually support terrorists because they hate Bush so much, it just doesn't make sense, if i agreed with points made by some people i wouldn't agree with them publicly as i wouldn't want to be seen agreeing with them.

Lets face it. Ahmadinejad was in on the 1979 hostage taking of the american embassy. That's way the ayotollahs like him and he is the first non-ayotollah president of Iran.

Why putting so much emphasis on Ahmadinejad? He is a just a public loud mouth of Iran.

Unlike America, President in Iran is not Commander in chief and he does not have any military power. The most powerful person in Iran that actually influences Iran's policies is Ayatollah Khomeini. The real power lies with him, not the president.

Anything that is happening in Iran, Khomeini is responsible for them not Ahmadinejad. He is just a public loud mouth, thats all.

What the hell are you talking about?

Against the war and Bush does not necessarily = far left. Just like a rectangle does not necessarily = square. Sure far lefties are against the war, just like squares are a type of rectangle, but they aren't the only ones. Why is this left/right label constantly put on things to justify your own position and criticize another's position?
