Pick a prize!

I am thinking of running a few big contests for one of my sites.

I wanted the community to vote on what prizes are the best to give away.

IPhone, Ipod touch, laptop, giftcards, cash, etc.
Just note that obviously I can give out 17 "$50 giftcards", or else one $850 laptop, so choose what would be best overall.

 

i would go for the laptop.

and try to find a few sponsors to add some small prizes.

 

I would have to say I would go to for the laptop myself as well.

 

Agreed, if you put up the main prize (ie, a laptop, or $500, ...) then try and find someone to put up smaller prizes alongside, so you can offer a 2nd and 3rd place... it would probably entice some more contestants...

I was just listing stuff out of the blue, I have not actually researched an $850 laptop. I was just looking for potential prize suggestions. Do you guys have any?

 

Cash prizes are always the best prizes to give away that way people can buy what they want with it!

Well how about a hp pavillion dv9000? i got one myself and it looks awesome and has good enough specs to just about keep up with my desktop, might want to chuck in an extra high capacity battery too with a laptop bag and lock

Or how about giving away vista and some games?

You can have games as 2nd and third prices and stuff?

portable external hard drive?

Ipod nano/ipod video?

4 GB usb sticks?

Logitech G5 or a Razer gaming mouse? I've always wanted one but never got one, not quite sure why, maybe a game plus a gaming mouse?

I think iPod touch would be very popular, but you won't get an unbiased opinion out of me.

I would say iPod touch because I'm sure alot of people have computers that are on the forum and the iPod touch would be cool because it's not like a laptop, more expensive ones are faster.
