I didnt know if i would post this thread here or in Google threads but i prefer to do it here so i can give some hope to our fellow directory owners.Maybe this is the new site effect but my 14 days old bid directory ranks in first page for some keywords(not so popular but it does) for example for keywords like add link germany or add link (country)where country is every name country of EU.And i dont think that this happen from blinks because i dont think that is allready counted in G.And consider i dont have spent many hours in seo (that is what i usualy do 1 -3 months after the site get live).So Bidding Directories still rank good in google.!
i could make a site called "bidding directories does rank good in google", and have it rank 2 in hours. Thats because DP would outrank it You can rank highly for anything providing it has no competition and you get indexed quickly. As for ranking well in google, any site can - it doesnt matter if its a bid directory. Congrats anyway
yes i know that but add link germany have actualy 80,500,000 results and bidding directories does rank good in google have 694,000 results check it http://www.google.com/search?hl=el&rlz=1T4GGLJ_enGR220GR220&q=add+link+germany&lr= and this http://www.google.com/search?source...=bidding+directories+does+rank+good+in+google so its more dificult to rank for the first phrase than the second and i am first not second at least in the datacenter results from Greece.I hope digital point dont come up with this keyphrase because it going to outrank me also
Who cares anymore about bidding directories? These are the type of directories that try taking advantage of Google, but fail to do so since "bidding for a link spot" is clearly a form of "selling a link". Not to mention, bidding directories should verify the submitter is 18+ (in the States) since its a form of gambling. Not to mention, its a way for scammers to work their magic. Where as general and niche directories sell a review where in return, their link is placed in a categorized structure. No A-Z bs. Any webmaster/investor trying to make quick cash through bidding directories should be ashamed of themselves.
The number of results has little to do with the number of pages actually targeting those terms and by no means is a measure of how difficult it is to rank for those terms. It's good to see how many pages actually have the term "add link germany" in their tile - it gives a better indication of how many pages might actually be targeting the phrase. I'd say that there's not that much "competition" for this phrase, wouldn't you?
Bidding directories are the same as paid directories, but for better advertisement purposes you can bid higher. Just like paying for a featured link... I wouldnt call it gambling, as adwords isnt gambling.
Just because you wouldn't call it gambling, then doesn't mean its not. It is gambling. You can bid for a better spot and you have a chance to lose it. How is that not gambling wise guy? With adwords your not really gambling for a spot, but paying to be listed as a sponsored link on the search results.
Of course is not that much competition for this phrase,you cant rank number one for a much competition phrase 3 days after the creation of a site! But there is some little traffic for such keyphrases!I am just unhappy there are not many sites list there so people drive to my page have a resourse to find.
LOL! bidding for a higher spot and getting out bid, is not gambling! when you bid - You get a permanant link! the link is permanant in the category pages! gambling is un-certainty, when you gamble you don't know you are going to win or not, like today i gambled when i did not took the umbrella, as there was a sunshine and came back home wet! bidding is competition, you pay more and out bid your competitor to stay on top, that's not gambling, that's called maintaining your position by the power of money! Remember you also bid on adwords, for example, 5cents a click, or 5$ a click, that's bidding, isn't it!
Why is Bid directory attributed with gambling, when u bid for a link, you do not loose anything but get a permanent link on the site, now you have to decide how much traffic do you want from this bud directory, so you place a higher bid. So for ranking, better exposure you bid higher. Is that similar to gambling ?
Guys dont pay attention to this guy he started a new thread after hijacking mine to prove this crazy theory IMO he doesnt have a clue what gambling is or what a biding or web directory is.
