song lyrics content = duplicate content ?

    Do you think song lyrics content is a duplicate content ?
    How to solve this problem? Any tips ?

    Duplicate content is exactly that, a "duplicate". Doesn't matter what the content is.

    however, if you have "strange" collection of limited niche songs (like movie songs) that would be quite fine even with the content duplication "punishment".

    Umm suggested is, Either make the pages no index, or use a kind of txt file to show the lyrics..

    Most of the sites do not allow cralwers to read the lyrics, as checked upon by COpyscape.. Which is not able to detect any duplicate content, so does google..

    U can use Java script as well to display lyrics in a pop up or other window as such..

    Song Lyrics are fixed.
    How can google say its copyied as lyrics cant be different for a single song.

    Google can say, since the song is not singed, it is text and repeated text.

    just use a complete custom coded template design and some custom text in other parts of the pages around the lyrics, you will be indexed fine.
