Hello everyone. I am out here looking for an idea, suggestion, or just general needs. I want to create a service that servers the webmaster / website business owner, however I am out of ideas on what to do. Service would be based around free accounts, paid accounts etc. Nothing new about that. What I really want to know what I can do to help the webmaster community without doing something that everyone else has done, or do something that has been done but done poorly. I have the ability to put anything dreamed up into a working application (and one that works well). It is simply a matter of the time it takes. So, I am coming here asking, what service do you need that you cannot attain right now for your websites?
Personally, I need help with data entry. I need people with a good level of English grammar and spelling, who charge very little and are completely trustworthy. I've tried outsourcing to Asia, but it's rare that they meet all three criteria, some probably do, but I don't have the time to find the best ones I guess.
So what would help you, Blitz? An automated way of entering the data; or a resource to find people who will do data entry, or were you thinking of something else along those lines?
Database or service of the best people to outsource work to perhaps? I could find 100 people to do the job I need within the next 24 hours, but I don't have much to go on to know if they're any good, and I don't want to risk it incase they screw something up. There's many ways you could do this I think. I've yet to see an outsourcing 'directory' which puts a face to the people who are doing the work. A little about them, maybe a picture of them. Right now, the only thing differentiating between them is the price. Otherwise you could offer a fully blown service. Not sure if this would be handy to anyone else though.
First of all google is taking over the marker, so it will be extremely hard for you to make anything with huge success. The idea you are looking probably cost million of dollars. It has to be something that no one has ever came up with. Right now i cant think of aything like that but if i do ill let you know. Good Luck.
Naw mate, sticking your head in the clouds on this one is how you go backwards. I don't need to make billions of dollars, nor do I want that responsibility of a business that makes that. What I am asking for is (while it can be an innovative idea, it most certainly doesn't have to be) what webmasters need. Trust me, they are out there saying "if only I had...." , "If I had this I could ....". My job is to figure out what "this/that" actually IS. If there is one thing I have learned over time, it does no good to try and think you know what people want. It is so much better to get involved and ask them what they want. You would be surprised mate
