Hey. i am getting a 403 forbidden message for one of my folders, called 'images', but all the other folders work, and I don't know how to delete it. Is it a setting in cPanel? Please, i really need help in this. Thanks
Use the file manager in cpanel to delete it if you really must. Just make sure it isn't essential to your site - i.e. has all the images for your website contained in it. It sounds to me like the .htaccess has been written to make certain that anyone trying to view the content of the 'images' folder cannot do so. This is common practice and nothing to worry about, actually the opposite is true - you should be happy the 403 forbidden is being applied as this prevents people viewing the contents of the directory and therefore tightens up security.
that's because directory listing is not enabled on your webhost.. for you to see the list of images on a certain directory, create a .htaccess file, insert this line - Options +Indexes and upload it to the directory where your images are stored.
Maybe you should have mentioned that in the original post? Why are you asking about deleting it?! Well then, you clearly do not want the contents displayed if someone types in www.domain.com/images/ do you? Leave it alone.
