Well, I have only just started running analytics on my site, and wasn't aware how much traffic I had coming from google. Displaying as 62.5% coming from google, which is a fair bit. This time 6 months ago my site wasn't indexed in google...so shows thatttle bit of SEO paid off
Direct traffic from Google to my site? Probably less than 10%. However, my articles are getting a lot of Google traffic (got 4 places on the first page of Google for my key phrase). Indirect traffic from Google....I'd say 60-80% It's hard to get a new site onto the first page of Google, even if you have optimized your website for keywords. You still need higher PR to get above the big guys.
Well those who posted here, just one quick question. are these numbers % in relation to overall traffic or traffic from SE.
84.6% from Google so far this month. However, Yahoo's Slurp crawler has been by far the most active in September, so that could change next month.
I was getting somewhere around 20% of my traffic directly from google. But recently my news site got included in the 'google news' and since then the google traffic has quadrupled. What's interesting is that even though the traffic drastically went up, the net profit in adsense went up maybe 5%. man it's hard to figure out google and adsense.
