That's actually what I did. I bought my Dell and it came with Vista. I love the program. It's much better for me than XP.
When I bought my new computer it came with vista after 2 weeks I swtiched back to xp and havn't looked back since
vista is like a dumb blond....looks nice but is really stupid........vista gave up compatibility for flashy looks I will take xp any day
You need a quad core chip and 4-8gb of ram for vista to function the way it should. Dual core and single core chips run to slow.
I am running the 2.4 ghz processor and 3gb of ram and compared to xp it slowed my computer down a ton
I know vista does not run good on a p4, I have tried it on a p4 3.4 overclocked to 3.8 and runs so slow as hell. Xp will run 100% faster on a p4 guaranteed. And your suppose to match your ram, you should not use 3gb. It goes 1gb, 2gb, 4gb, 8gb, 16gb you should always pair your ram proper. Most people think its runs fine becuase they have never used a fast computer, if you use a dual core or quad core then go back to a p4 you will see the difference.
I wont upgrade to vista but will buy a new computer with it installed, I have nothing against vista or any other OS, I just hate installing and configuring OS on my computers and since computers go out of date so fast, I have been able to avoid this for the past few years
I still love XP more, my friend having trouble with auto complete of email address in windows mail (Vista). and I love XP more because my laptop only pentium M 1.6 Ghz with 1GB of RAM
Actually some users of vista are saying that is has plenty of bugs that's why they hate it and change back to windows xp... It is not fully functional yet as they say...
What was the poll supposed to mean? "XP or Vista" Is that a question? It can't be a useful query to what we are using, because we have 3 computers with XP and 1 with Vista. Is it supposed to mean which we like best? That's how a poll can get wasted by being too brief with words and punctuation. _______________________ I only read a couple of relies, but here's my thoughts... It doesn't really seem to do anything better for me. It seems to be slightly slower due to more steps it follows. The filmstrip feature for viewing photos in a file seems missing, which was a huge part I liked about XP. So I don't dislike Vista, its just that I enjoy my computer better that has XP. _______________________ A few people nailed part of it about Microsoft and eye-candy.... Look at a lot of their adds. Its music and dancers and a cool beat. On the other hand, look at where Mac is hitting them with a left hook? Its about how Mac does stuff better. I'm surprised that Microsoft is not blocking the attack regarding functionality, by working less on the eye candy features.
