I just sold a $200 on facebook for first time, any tips?

OKay I advertised my 80GB white iPod for $200. I bought it for $350 but since the new generation iPods are out and the $250 6g 80gb Classic iPod totally kicks my 5.5g 80GB iPod I decided to sell it at a low price of $200.

I talked to the guy and everything were meeting in a public place for the deal. Hes paying in cash. Anything I should watch out for?

I'm getting kind suspicious since he might give me fake money or something, how do I check if its fake and stuff? Its going to be hard to track him down since its going to be like a random meeting so I can get screwed over if he gives fake money.

What are some other possibilities that could go wrong on selling stuff on facebook to a random guy?

Don't go alone, take a friend or two with you. And hold the money against the light, and see if there's a watermark.

Ok...you want a truly safe transaction? If so, go to a police station and do the trade there. :D

    Um,
Have you never seen cash before? Hold almost any bill up to the light and you will see a watermark. Usually a face or official seal of some type...

Follow others advice and meet in public with friends. If you still don't feel comfortable, cancel the deal.

There are these pens you can mark the bills with and depending on the color of the mark determines whether the bills are real.

    Even better!

I don't think that people who browse facebook, are looking to scam people.
So my advise is go and nothing will happen.

Make sure he only pays you in $1 bills. Try meeting him in an airport as the security is tighter.
