Is it against adsense TOS to stream online tv shows hosted in youtube

    I just wanted to know if it is against adsense TOS to embed the youtube code in my site and stream some tv series episodes. Thanks !.

    No, of course not. Youtube has adsense, doesn't it?

    I'm not sure how that is even an argument...if Paramount pictures had adsense, would that make it legal to stream their videos on a site with adsense?

    TV Series? Be careful, Youtube is yanking Family Guy videos left and right after a complaint from Twentieth Century Fox.

    Best thing to do is to email Google and ask them, albeit sometimes you could just get a "read the TOS" reply.

    I have asked adsense before, and they are ok with it as long as you have received permission from the copyright owners of the videos to display them on your site, then you may place AdSense on sites containing these videos.

    ok. Here it goes one more question, what if I don't host the videos, but I do link to them in youtube or some other site. What do you think?

    The mechanism of delivery should make no difference, you are still displaying something, regardless of whether or not you have it stored locally or are bringing it in from somewhere else. Copyright is copyright and not effected by the method it is displayed.
