Anything going on with google today?

I have dropped from the first page to as far as page 8 today.

I have changed my index title and renewed my domain under a different name and address in the past 2 days.

Not sure if the above would take effect so soon. Hoping that its just a data push or something and everything will be back soon.

One of my sites dropped down about 6 pages today. These past few weeks have been really weird in regards to SERP changes.

I think the domain change could do some of this. Wait a few weeks and see what happens. Google will look at site to make sure it is same site and topic and put it back where it was listed as long as nothing else changed.

    Really thanks.

Just amazed that cache:(thetopsitebelowinmysig) doesnt return anything but it still has pagerank showing.

Bit worried now as its taken ages to get on the first page, I renewed the domain for 5 years this time which was supposed to help. Anymore info on the effects of domain reg change?

Have you increased your backlinks by any chance?

Ya, domain change must be the problem. Just give it some time.

No increase in back links, do you think getting a new .gov or .ac would speed up google accepting the new domain registration.

Im impressed that it picked up on it so quick. I can see there point, as I could be putting porn links all over the index page and still scoring high for my tools search terms. But companies must change there name all the time.

My rankings have droped in google in the last 3 weeks.

Not sure if some datacenters are down or if they are updating ?

    I did rank for position 1 & 2 for 3 search terms.

I have increased alot of backlinks also.

    Anyidea's?

My whois data clearly shows that I have renewed and not changed owners,

    Record last updated on 24-Sep-2007.
    Record expires on 20-Sep-2012.
    Record created on 20-Sep-2005.
