Facebook worth 1 trillion?

I have calculated how facebook will be worth $100 billion but possibly could have a valuation of one trillion dollars. This is based on facebook siezing marketshare away from established internet companies such as Ebay and Google as well as offline media companies such as Viacom and Fox.

No way will it be worth a trillion. Just because microsoft payed that much for 5% doesn't really mean it's worth that much. Just their speculation.

nice looking blog by the way

I think Exxon is still currently the Company with the highest market cap at 500 billion, which is 1/2 trillion. Googles market cap is about 120 billion. To put it into perspective, Facebook would need to be worth more then 8 times that of Google to be worth a trillion dollars. Which of course is not gonna happen anytime soon. But, I am assuming you meant US dollars.

1 trillion is way too over priced, IMO. If I had the money, I'd buy Google first over Facebook. :D

Century? Did you mean decade, cuz then I'd agree with you, but the next hundred years? Calculate inflation over 100 years and a 1 trillion $ company would still be huge but there will be several hundreds of them.

These sites are short term, like myspace..
Year or two from now some cool new social site will pop up..

As long as they monetize properly and keep the ads restrained to flyers, polls and various sponsored groups i think they could easily make 250 million by next october.
