Personally, I can't believe he was allowed to enter the country.

I also think a US missile through his limo wouldn't be a bad thing....Israeli style!

Good representation of the concepts of political freedom and right to free spech that is the basis of our society. Oh wait, we don't extend that same principle to dealing with other nations, and yet we wonder why when Americans visit most other countries we are looked down upon.

Americans are have a right to free speech in America, non-Americans do not. I would just as soon have let Hitler in before we entered WWII.

I as you this, do you think that we would ever be able to tour Iran like this? Would we be accepted in? I think not.

Your image is PROPAGANDA at its best. These 2 guys were NOT executed because they were homosexual. They were executed for sexually assaulting a 13 year-old boy.

An Iranian press report explained that the two had been executed for sexually assaulting a 13 year-old boy.

You are very welcome to come to Slovenia and probably in many other countries. We may have disagreement on some views how you americans run foreign politics but we never look down on you. On the contrary. Some things you american people do we find inspiring!

I don't know who left this stupid pattern that americans are not welcome and are looked down upon in other countries. Must be something your media pushes on you my friend since the status on the ground is completely different from what you are saying !

And what you are saying is bunch of crap I might add ...

Yes, I agree 100%. When Saddam gassed and killed 5,000 Kurds in the 1980s, the U.S. sat right by and didn't do anything to protect them. The reason for this is because Saddam was our buddy at the time, and for those of you who don't believe this, I've posted a photo of Saddam shaking hands with Rumsfeld in the 1980s.

You see, the U.S. is content to sit by and overlook torture and the execution of citizens of a country so long as they are our allies. But if they are not our allies, the U.S. government will expose the atrocities of the country to get their population pissed off and angry against these countries.

For the record, Iran is not a country I would want to live in. The country is beautiful, and it has a rich history, but their laws are brutal and strict. But it is their country, and you have to respect their authority to do what they wish. If the U.S. wants to invade Iran because of its human rights abuses, or its nuclear weapons program, then it should invade:

    1. North Korea (Which actually has a nuke I believe)
    2. Most of Africa(Don't get me started on human rights abuses in Africa)
    3. Much of South America(Basically the same as Africa)
    4. Pakistan(Has nukes, human rights abuses)

    The U.S. will have its hands full if it thinks it can police the world. The reality is that the U.S. can't, and America is a Republic in decline. By taking care out our own country, and staying out of the affairs of others, as Ron Paul so eloquently states, other countries will look to us as an example, and will want to follow, instead of us trying to force them to follow us. Here is another good point;

If the Iranian people get sick and tired of their government, they can overthrow it, as they did in 1979. If the Iranians allow gays to be executed in their country, it is because they don't see the need to do anything about it. They don't need outside assistance from the U.S. or any other country.

You allow the government to tell you what to be angry about. You're angry about Ahmadinejad entering the country, but are you angry about:

    1. The fourth amendment being violated. (Government spies on Americans without warrants)

    2. The tenth amendment being violated. (Issues like gay marriage and abortion, and stem cell research, which should be decided by the state, is instead handed to the federal government)

    3. The Patriot Act.

    4. The U.S. dollar being devalued.

You see, these are things that I'm angry about. I'm not angry because the president of Iran wants to speak at one our university's to express his views. I'm angry because my government continues to take away more of my freedoms each day.

By the way Crazy Rob, in the event that we sent a missile into his limo..........you do realize World War 3 would start, right? You do understand that Ahmadinejad would be the 21st century Archduke Ferdinand.........do you even know who Archduke Ferdinand is?

Why on Earth would you even think of assassinating the Iranian president on U.S. soil? This is perhaps the dumbest post made in this thread so far.

Now this is quite a revelation. You've got people posting photos of stuff, and they don't even know the story behind it.........

Also, the 2nd amendment certainly isn't going untouched ;)

And yes, us assassinating a diplomatic leader in our country as he came here to speak at the United Nations would be so many orders of magnitude worse for our country than just simply starting a war with Iran, I can't imagine the consequences. That may be the dumbest post I've read in ANY of these threads.

I can't believe Crazy Rob said that......the very thought of Ahmadinejad being assassinated on U.S. soil is enough to make the hair on the back of my neck stand up...........I mean, it really is the end, and Iran would not be the only country the U.S. would have to worry about.

We would probably get attacked by China, Russia, even European countries would turn against us...even George W. Bush and the Neocons are not that stupid........

If I heard that Ahmadinejad got assassinated, I would be trying to find the nearest cave or underground shelter.............For those of you not familiar with history, here is a link to Archduke Ferdinand at Wikipedia. Go here to read and realize what would happen if we assassinated Ahmadinejad:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Archduke_Franz_Ferdinand_of_Austria

No Tesla. This whole thread of yours is about fear. You believe what this guy said at the UN because you are frightened of the consequences if you didn't. You claim to believe this guy wants peace - yet the day before he leaves Iran announces that they have missiles in range of US troops, it shows off a new missile, it is known to want nuclear weapons, chants Death to America, is known to be killing US troops in Iraq, funds terrorists groups that attack Israel, etc etc etc. Yet you believe whatever he says. Fear your Islamic overlords.

    This is a good thread.

Ahmadinejad has come on over and is willing to talk. What is most disturbing is the BS being sprouted from neocon supporters like Hannity and Bill O'Reilly amongst many other fools still banging the war drum, a bit like our idiotic friends in our DP P&R crazy gang.

It is pretty clear that Iran has some pretty tough rules that us in the Western World will frown at but as telsa so rightly pointed out there are tough rules in many other countries in the world.

Ahmadinejad is not putting up with the BS that is fed out every day via FOCKS News and other government propaganda sites to the sheeple.

I think it is great that Ahmadinejad has come over to talk to the people, it's a shame that Bush and the other scumbag neocons will avoid talking to him at all costs as it deflects their crazy agenda.

What I find ironic is that people like us (the DP forum users) are always debating each other yet the most dangerous man in the world George W Bush will not debate with heads of other states. A shame we couldn't get Bush and Ahmadinejad to join DP, we could get a right romping thread going.
Obviously someone would have to do the typing for Dubya Bush as
    a) He cannot write
    and
    b) He is not too familiar with the internets. :p

I would pay money to see this.

So lorien, if you were the president, or had the power, would you authorize an assassination of Ahmadinejad while he was here in the United States?
