Try a free tracker for your site. It will show what search engines and terms and websites that send hits.

maybe you can try "Allowed Sites" in "Adsense Setup" tab. Put all the sites that you know you put adsense on, and you will get a report on the sites that giving you impressions but not in you list.

    in my adsense account

it show i have 2k impressions today

my url channels only can account for 225

it is not my site traffic generating these impressions

I think I understand what you mean. These impressions are not magically generated, they are probably coming from one site where you forgot to delete the code.

i don't think the impressions are from any of my sites. I have ALL of my sites listed as URL channels. They do not register these extra impressions.

What happens if someone else put his code on their website or blog by accident - could that do it?

Like if you took my code, and put it on your webpage, would it clear google's computers and give me the credit even though your site provided the traffic?

i second that. All extrenal tracking method are BS and not reliable.

Only adsense can tell you whats happening with your account. Trust google first before running to other tracking services.
