I would say around a million. If the owner here were to really exploit this place with ads, he would be making some serious cash. It's great that I only have to look at that one google ad at the top of the page though.

I really don't think it would fetch 11 million... probably over 1 though... then again, I have no clue...

Why not all of us DP members shell out $10 and buy DP from the collective amount so we could have a nice place of our own? Why not let the current DP staff keep the site's profits for themselves so they could continue to manage and monitor the site since they're doing a helluva job? A site owned by every member would probably promote camaraderie amidst the community, or at least that's what I think. In line with this, I do hope this would prevent spammers and scammers from setting foot on this nice place if it were owned by every member in general since I ain't gonna have them pollute my own community, you know. If you're thinking that they have the right to stay here since they paid $10 from their own pockets, I dare to say that spammers and scammers wouldn't even shell out have of a penny for anything that wouldn't be lucrative enough to make them more money in the long run, but us honest DP members would prevent them from doing so, right? I would love to think that a large portion of the DP community is populated by honest people, and do correct me if ever I'm mistaken.

 

I always thought business value was usually 3 x annual so if that was the case: $360,000. I wouldn't sell unless I saw a failing trend.

 

DP is priceless...only things u guys consider when guessing its price are it age,user base and traffic...it might be correct businesswise ...but apart from these DP has the priceless CONTENT which help every webmaster..

The age of the domain name and the user base alone make it pretty pricey, it really wouldn't surprise me if it went for over 1.5million.

Very much in agreement that the content is priceless, although in this day and age value seems to be placed on user/traffic/age/domain.

I would say $10,000,000. The site is barely monetized at the current time, so the standard formula using monthly or annual revenue wouldn't work so well. 30,000 active members is more than just about any other forum on the net.

 

I would say 1 to 2 millions, but Shawn would have no interest in selling it...

11 millions is far too much, if DP would be worth 11M, so how much would it be for gaiaonline.com, based on the size of the userbase...???

the trouble in this case is that for these two, whatever DP's cost, it's peanuts.

 

Its worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it!
