I'm in London at the moment. I paid ~$100 for breakfast for two this morning. Owwww... I can't see why it's worth this much to pay for uncontrolled crime, traffic, and smog. At least we're in Picadilly, where it is relatively safer than other parts of the city.
You obviously don't shop around, there's a nice little cafe not far from Regent St towards Soho where you wouldn't have paid more than $10
As fanatical as those whiners may seem, they aren't murdering people who refuse to follow the tenets of their religion. On a global scale, that means that they fail to even begin to rate on the "fanatical" scale.
Like I said, never see one... These guys don't look too fanatical.. Retarded maybe, but anything but fanatical. Nothing on that page about praying to a false God, removing heads, or a virgin reward... That's why I always do the B&B thing over there... Nice buffet.. One thing I miss about an English breakfast is that bacon (nothing like it on earth) and mushrooms!!!
You're better off not in London at all - and preferably not in the South of england either. Scotland isnt too ideal either, but it is only a 50minute flight which costs $30 to Heathrow/Gatwick.
Hey, no problem. London proper, like an major city is going to be expensive in many areas. I still remember opening a coke from the frig in the room at the Paris Hilton back in 82 only to find that it cost $3. Meanwhile, on the street you could find inexpensive and yummy dogs covered in mustard and housed in a loaf of French bread for practically pennies... England wise, I really enjoyed Stratford Upon Avon. Nice pubs, great culture, great B&B's, and good people...
