source:http://esotericlabs.com/search-engi...rs-reciprocal-linking-will-get-you-banned.htm Google did not give any option to gain quality link as an alternative for link trade! Most SEO's websites live in trading links. What now! Or maybe I jsut over reacting! ! !
It's a misinterpretation of Google's guidelines. They are not against reciprocal linking, but rather link exchanges built for the purpose of cheating. They are basically saying that they are using new methods to detect link exchanges, and if you are part of one of them and you link to too many "bad sites," then your site will also be considered a bad site and be punished by Google accordingly.
nope! I do link trader to site that has a great SERPs in SE. and I see to it that its not a spam site! I do link trade not that often, if there is just an offer and quality site. Its pertaining to those webmaster who do excessive link trade without giving credits for the quality of the site, even they knew that that its a spam site!? ows!!!
If you do exchange links make sure site is a good one and same topic. Do not just exchange links for links your site will not do well if you do.
I do link trade to related site only! Not just trade! that makes it quality! Have you read the comments on the link? there are lots of comments regarding on this! Hope this is just a real misundertanding!
Actually it is not prohibited.. The reason why Google hates Linkexchange because of webmaster's excessive reciprocal links or excessive link exchanging to other sites.... Here link for Google Link Scheme
Google doesn't penalize for it, but many experts thinks that reciprocated links have less value than one-way links for calculating PR.
i dont remember the exact url but i read it on google webmaster help. "link to me , i will link to you is prohibited" was the sectence that they used
Maybe what he really means is Excessive reciprocal linking. But there are ways to exchange links that are not bad to Google.
Just apply common sense, of course link exchanges are allowed ... providing they "add value" to the net then it would be crazy for any search engine to ignore them. Let me know if you have an "added value" exchange for UK property
i believe if it has your niche you should be okie, but i am not an expert, google is like a mystery, they freaking love it that way...
