Right now everything works just fine on XP thank you. With a bit of extra tweaking, performance can be further increased Less gloss, more performance please!

I have removed most of the little extras that came with Vista as I do not need them and my system runs faster than what XP used to, and I'm only using a PC with 2GHz AMD, 767MB Ram. (No Aero). I admit at first I thought Vista sucked, but after a while you adjust to it just as you would moving from any old operating system to a new one, theres always going to be some differences your going to have to adjust to.
Next year this time I am almost positive you'll be saying Vista is the best ever. What you are saying about Vista now is what alot of people were saying about XP when it first came out. Cool out and give it time.
No, i'll be laughing at all the people who upgraded. The new desktop i'm getting will run Ubuntu as will all computers will probably do the same. When ReactOS goes into Beta, then i'll probably install that.

No, I use googlemail. The only bit of software on that list that I use is Microsoft Office, which is why I said "I hate bad software" rather than "I hate Microsoft".
That is my msn address. Microsoft, being the anti-competitive monopoly they are, don't allow anything but hotmail addresses to activate, at least they didn't when I signed up.
I like vista... have it on my laptop and works well.. for everyday use I still prefer my xp machine...
Just noticed this thread.. Want to give you some facts.. Im 15 years using PC's. Started with Win 3.1 , 386 blah blah Im not a nerd Im now a DBA I didnt think i was stupid Recently I bought ( using her credit card) a PC for my PC lliterate I turned it on I set it up It started some magic performance check. I tried to do "stuff" I felt stupid.... Please Please release an SP to revert it back to us Windows 95 (XP) babies... Ok over and out , rant over.......
I have vista, but I can defaintly reccommend on waiting until they release service pack 2. especially if you're into pc games. Running a pc game on vista is more trouble than finding a needle in a haystack
