MS has been making horrible (unstable) OS's for years, new people just don't understand that and keep using and using because of the software available, no question about it, we all agree Windows wins in the software availability arena. But Windows is not the best Stable OS on the market.

Age old debate with an age old answer that i think a few have already posted, my PC is just easier to take apart and upgrade, Mac just won't let me do this. There are compatibility issues too but I think in a few years these will go.

i just thought i would throw in my two cents. i prefer macs as it is my primary system since i don't have to worry about malware and stuff like that. also, it is pretty staple and only has crashed once in the last few years. i also use windows since most specialty apps are used on it. as for the user interface, i am not fan as it bogs down a lot. i don't use this fancy system for any incoming emails or downloads but keep getting this junk on it. it really is a pain to maintain which i don't like doing. sorry this was not meant to offend any pc users which i have used since 1983.

For the past 5 years Apple has not been able to fully break the 5% market share. You always hear about people switching to Apple but if all this were true Apple would be at least 10-15% percent bigger. What you do not hear are all the people who try Apple and hate it. I think Apple locks them up before they can spread a bad word about them:D

Apple's market share is 10%, the different flavours of Linux split the other 10% and Windows takes the other 80%..this is just for home computer use...not including servers.
