How much traffic from serp would you consider good?

All of us try doing our best getting free traffic from serps. How much do you consider is good over time.
For example
In 1 month x
In 2 months y
....

 

That depends on a lot of factors. First, you would need to know the volume of searches for the keyword. If you're #1 for the keyword "xuyzuippar", then you can expect exactly zero traffic. If you're ranked #1 for a keyword that is searched for hundreds of thousands of times per month, then you could probably calculate a certain percentage of those searches.

On one website I operate, I optimized on about 10 keywords that combined have about 30,000 searches per month. My average SERP in Google for those keywords is about 3, and I get about 200 new visitors per day. Of those visitors, the conversion rate is about 2% - or four sales per day.

 

Depends on the site, and how much you spend promoting it.
For my It forum that I run myself, I get about 1500 Uniques a month from the serps, and I spend very little time promoting or SEOing it.
However for my work I am expected to get millions of uniques for some of my clients and that normally takes a lot of effort.
So I guess its a case of how big is the company, whats the budget, and how much time/effort have you put in.

 

i have 5 websites in different niche i get 5000+ a day on from google traffic.I have others i get 300 or so a day from ,i look at the time and/or money i put into each site to gauge if i am happy or not

 

From what I understood from readings, it greatly depend on the niche. I am having only about 200/day. Good thing is its going up. I am sure there are lot of room for improvement.

 

This days my SERP is very much increased and getting very good traffic from google.

Definately it is highly dependent on your keyword as well as your position on certain keyword.
Look up your analytic to see which keyword is giving you approx 200 hits/day and see on which position do you rank, if it's
not #1, try to get it to #1 and you can expect some improvements.

BTW, do you remember my thread of motivation in which I disclosed my highest traffic from google somewhere around 500, now I have crossed the 1,000 /day mark from search engine

Yeah I remember. Honestly I got motivated . I increased traffic from SE from about 40/day to 200/day. Congrats to you for your achievement. Give me some more motivation dude, so I can cross 1000.

 

hmm, nice to hear about you get motivated, here is only few more words of wisdom to get you motivated.

Look for up coming events, do keyword research and hunt them down.(you will see great boost on certain days)

It depends on your topic, i have a site a few months old getting 5000+/day but niche specific sites getting not even that a month.

 

If you work alone on one website and you make good seo, i say around 4000-8000 is a good number.

I'd say 2-500 referrals a day is what I consider "good"

 

Whatever you are getting, if it is improving then it is good.

 

I thinks any value is over 5000 unique visitors per day is a grate optimization for a website, while the higher is the better

 

Sometimes its really hard to SEO on some sites. Just title and meta description always doesn't prove to be enough. In that case adding text on the home page bring better results along with title and meta description.
I find it very challenging doing SEO on sites keeping it aesthetically nice. Lets say I wanna add little description on the home page on whats the site is about. Which pays off a lot as per SEO. SE loves those things. But doing that lot of times requires some sacrifice on the look.
