Does anesthesia weakens memory?

Since I was injected with anesthesia due to tooth extraction, I feel that I am losing memory... sometimes, I forgot even simple spellings, and other things..mostly my keys, phones, etc...

    Is this true?

No, I don't think so. Maybe it was cause by something else.

EDIT : I've found this on http://www.brandianestesia.it/english/complications.html. CONFUSION OR MEMORY LOSS: This is common among older people who have had an operation under general anaesthetic. It may be due to several causes. It is usually temporary, but may last a few days or weeks.

    Really? How old are you?
