How Should I Spend 500 Dollars?

Ok, I have a site called PS3Tag.com and I've been given 500 dollars to market/advertise this website. What does everyone think I should use it on? I don't want to blow it all on something that isn't going to show good results (traffic). The only thing that comes to mind is Google Adwords, but is there anything else that works?

I was going to suggest AdWords. Nothing else comes to mind at the moment.

Write quality content then promote. Join Technorati and try to get a high rank.

I would suggest buying some pretty strong links from gaming sites. Sure you probably will not receive traffic from it today...but it will help you rank better on google for all sorts of ps3 keywords.

I would use the DP marketplace gain links for the best long-term benefit. If you spend it on AdWords in a competitive industry it will be gone quickly and have nothing to show for it.

    Think...
    directory submission
    social bookmarking
    stubleupon exchange
    article writing and submission
    etc.

use $200 to do this and repeat in 30 days. With $100 left repeat what you think may be working best.

If you get results, ask for a budget of a couple hundred a month to continue trying these opportunities.

At least that is what I would do.

I agree with tradeya, webthisways' advice seems to be extremely sensible.
I know I would have done that if I had to spend 500 on promotion.

Adword is good but if your website is product based along with Aword i recommend you that you should try yahoo search marketing and Adcenter as conversion rate can be ranked as Adcenter, yahoo search marketing, Adword.

Thats not a big budget over time. You need permanent links.

Take a look at our service below in the sig line - thats how I would spend the money. After that when you are earning some then adwords.

I guarantee you a lot of waste if you use adwords. Try other PPC networks ie adbrite or bidvertiser
