    Its a lucky dip at the moment. I wouldnt advise you go for the sites that have just been penalised. No one knows what Googles going to do next and they might need to go through to round two to really get point their across. Your best bet right now are the free directories.

    Free Directories are good and theres nothing wrong with it. Second there are SOME or FEW as I may say, penalized directories that have editorial integrity and submitting to those are good too.

    Lastly try some of The Replacements that Google has provided for the time being, its worth the shot, both free and paid. :D

    This is spot on!

    Hold your money or pay to get into all the free directories.

    I have sites in the big paid directories and they offer no traffic so really i just paid for PR, now that investment is being tested. I guess we will know in a few months.

    Get your url anchor text and description in as many unique IPs as possible - thats a safe bet!
