is anyone making money reselling webhosting. I was thinking of doing it, but no one ever talks about it. It seems like a good way of getting a recurring monthly income.
Yes people make money but it is very hard. Thier are so many hosting sites and prices keep getting lower everyday.
cyberstar, Prices vary... Depends on the uptime of your company, support time, packages, how much space, bandwidth, etc.
they go as low as $1/mo (pretty crappy hosting) but the hard part is selling alot of accounts but keeping the server running fast and not overloading it. Too many hosts try to put 60-100 accts. on one server and it bogs it down too much. So if you can sell 25 accounts for a higher price then it would be great, the hard part is proving the quality of hosting.
offer good and quality services always the key to succeed. make sure you can give them good customer service when they need you and good speed and uptime. sure you can enter this market. You can try it out at DP web hosting section good luck. Now i'm usign one of those 1$ hosting there, till now it's so far so good.
Well if you're going with a reseller account I find based on our customers the ones making money are selling to a local market. They are not attempting to appeal globally but rather to their city or in some cases their country if it is small.
