    Keywords are very important for ranking a site.Always go for a relevant keyword and non-competitive too.If the keyword "Nokia" is using ,it takes too much time for rank8ing our site.

    For Meta tags keywords are not important.
    However, for the site contents the keywords are very very important.
    Keywords rich domain becomes famous soon. Over stuffing of keywords may result in looking your site unnatural and Google may flag it as a spam. So they are to be used quite sparingly.

    As long as the keywords actually relate to the topic on your page, you really can have as many as you want.

    IMO, 15-30 is a quality amount, assuming they're all relevant.

    Hi, perhaps I do not know enough about keywords, but how do you count keywords? Are not keywords simply words that appear with a certain frequency in your content?

    If you are talking about SEO, then keywords are very important. You can say it is the mother of SEO. Keywords used in the site's title tag, heading, content , and back link text are used to determine the relevancy of a site with specific search query. Once upon a time :D Meta keywords were also very important for SEO. But most of the SEO gurus say that this is now history.
