the digg confirmer? hmm.. the ideal scenario would be to digg the entry, wait 15 seconds, then click the confirmation button in digg****.com and that delay is required to protect our server, because, if there are too many hits to digg from our server, we will get banned it might be possible to confirm the digg using client-side javascript functions. but i am not sure...
It seems the system is already in place I guess but I was thinking instead of people just signing up purely to have their site dugg without digging others, make sure they digg atleast 5 other stories before they can submit or something.
ohk then its fine. Using client side checker will lead way to hackers To hide referrer information @meetgs you can make links clickable and use a dereferrer to prevent anyone from knowing the HTTP_referrer
thanks to all your suggestions, i updated the system a little bit. - separated "campaigns" from the home section (thanks for the idea, qprojects) - the links are now clickable (Angelus will be happy with this) to hide referer information, this is what i use: <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="2; URL=http://www.example.com" /> Code (markup): mrgee, there will always be risk (however small) because we still have to connect to Digg server to confirm user action. i recommend you don't use your main account for this system, just to be in the safe side

partners would be great, although for now the most important thing is acquiring a large user base. once we have a decent number of people, the system will take off and we can expand i am thinking of creating an invite system. new people can join only if they have an invitation code from an existing member. for every new member you refer, you get 1 Digg/StumblePoint. any thoughts on this?

qprojects, i added you on Y. shreyas, thanks for that "coolness" compliment referrals will be added in the near future. as for multiple usernames, this is a bit difficult/complex to implement, better wait for the system to be mature first before adding that. why do you want multiple usernames anyway?
Actually why people need stumbles is for traffic.... ANd its not illegal or like they wont ban if you have more than one username.... So if you can add many stumble upon usernames to your account, they can stumble from more than one username and so more points and more help... Or you can also add like points transfer..
