There is no average window. The length of time before review depends on many factors which means it can range from a few days to several years.

A current editor should correct me if I am wrong, but I believe that filters were put in place some time back which prevents suggestions reaching their destination for a couple of days. So even though in times past a review could take place in a few seconds, I don't think that is possible now.

Well, it would make sense to add in a delay feature. I mean, it just wouldn't be fair to have quality sites nearly instantaneous ;)

Though, if there is something that causes a wait, I'd like to know what it's there for (other then a delay).

    Ivan,
The minimum is more than a few seconds. I'd say a few minutes to infinity.

What is the average window for such a claim to be substantiated?

Is there an escalation process? My request are about 3+ months old and still no response.

Oh, that's because your site is not listable (lol)

It really just depends on the site, the category and editor (or lack there of). So we know about when you submitted, now where and what did you submit and maybe someone can help you.

Currently the ODP policy is one of completely ignoring the submitter. You have to reply on 3rd party sites and people to say whether or not your site will likely get listed (and which you'll need to keep in mind, 3rd party responces could be wrong).

If you don't want to ask here, try this site: http://www.dmoz-resources.com/zone/

Judging by some of the threads in here 3 years and counting!

No escalation process... best thing is to become and editor of another category and reduce the overall pool of submissions.

The only escalation process available is to pay a "senior" editor for his/her "SEO" work.

Yes what you propose escalates the site to banned status. You are correct for the second time this week Julain, you really are on a roll.
