Sometime back I wrote articles regarding god..But I never knew where to share..Until I found Politics and Religion Section here..So here it goes..This is a two part series of trying to know god..Hope you like it..Comments and healthy discussion is always weclomed: Part-I http://cyberspirits.blogspot.com/2007/03/trying-to-know-god-part-i.html Part-II http://cyberspirits.blogspot.com/2007/04/trying-to-know-god-part-ii.html
well in your first sentence you say so in a place where there is no time, that would not be in the past any amount of time. that would make it millions and millions of years ago, yesterday, today, the future and forever. so in a place with no time tommorrow is no different then millions of years ago. not trying to start an argument over religion, just pointing out some simple facts about time.
see there is no terminology to say no time...how can I express something because we humans are time bound, our thinking is not beyond time..so how to express it..that god formed time not god was formed by time..science always argues about time..but how to explain..no time..that's why i wrote those articles..It so good to have so much knowledgeable people here..I'm glad to post my article here..thanks for commenting..
I spent about 10 minutes quoting text from your articles and ripping it apart. I got bored of that. So I'll sum it up in one sentence; None of what you said makes any sense.
Agreed And the very fact that he said millions of years ago flys right in the face of a huge population of believers who think the earth can't be more than a few thousand years old.
Most scientists now say the universe is 13+ billion years old. Time is a concept that is still not completely understood, mainly because it is not constant under all conditions and some theories only work if time does not exist or if time goes forward and backward. As far as understand God goes, it's futile. The posted articles did nothing for me, as fitting God into those facts about nature seemed contrived and contradicted common sense.
I got that impression Dave. Every point he made fits the template "scientists say ______, But they don't know ______, So that means god ______".
everyone has a different perspective when u say u can understand god its right..but atleast you should respect the thought of each and every1..I hope I dint hurt anyone..but I only presented my point of view...thanks for commenting..more comments will help me write better next time..
I meant that something new you all would have got from that article..coz u said it was a 10 minute waste
