I want to get an autoresponder to use

I want to get an auto responder, but don't want to spend a lot of money. Aweber and getresponse are a little too expensive for me now, but I may use them later. Can anyone suggest a good autoresponder program that I can use. It must have the ability to setup multiple autoresponders, as well as send multiple emails. I also want to be able to send emails after the autoresponder is already setup. I also want it to be easy to use.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

    freeautobots.com <-- it's free. but it sucks.

but tell you the truth, it would be wise to get traffic to your page, in due time, the autoresponder will pay for itself in due time.

You should try 1automationwiz, with the 30day free trial. It's what I use. Same as 1shoppingcart (same system, same help desk everything, its a rebrand) and no 3.95 cost for the trial period. 1automationwiztrial.com

If his planning on being successful, and handling a decent amount of subscribers, you'll want to go with a solution like aweber or 1shoppingcart. Something hosted by a third party who know what they are doing.

you don't want to switch autoresponders later.. When you switch, every member has to be re-verified and you losw 100's if not 1000's of subscribers

    I learned the hard way

Very True, I learned the hard way as well. We were very hesitant to go with Aweber because of the price, but it's proven to be well worth it when compared to the free solutions. It's made that end of the business very easy to maintain and run.

The prices are very cheap, especially when your just starting out. Wait until you upgrade you client database a few times.. that really starts to add to the monthly cost.

I heard that icontact is relatively cheap, but depends how many subscribers you expect to come in every month. If you get 500 contacts is $9.95. The more you have the more expensive. Personally I prefer aweber. I saved $60.00 paying them yearly rather than monthly.

I'm just beginning my "online journey", but I've heard aweber and 1shoppingcart are great. 1shoppingcart is more expensive, but you can add lots of features (marketing, shopping carts) later - it can be good if you plan to expand later and want every feature outsourced from just one company.

Really, the problem is if you change the autoresponder later. If you can't afford it now, I would recommend, to earn the money for it with free marketing techniques and then choose a reliable autoresponder right away, where you know that most of your emails get through and you will have no problems with spam complaints and so.

Hi, while it may be a little bit expensive at the start for you to use Aweber or GetResponse but in the long run, it will pay for itself. Good and reliable autoresponders are essential to build your list. So my advice is to go for the established ones.

    I use TurboRespond.com [http://www.TurboRespond.com]
Leaner and less expensive than aweber but all the functionality you need.
They let you try it for 30 days for free with no strings.
And you can pay with PayPal.

The functionality is one thing, but most important is, how much of your mail gets through. You won't want to save money for a compromise about that. With aweber or getresponse it is almost 100%, with others it can be very bad.

Well said - 60% or so of my sales are done with follow up, strongly recommend aweber as well.

aweber expensive? It's dirt cheap! Think about it..the autoresponder will pay for itself after one sale depending on the product.

Just remember you can not import any emails from another system into aweber. You can email your list and tell them to join your new aweber list, but you'll loose a huge chunk of your leads.
