It's nothing serious - but will be the first time I've had a general anaesthetic. Not looking forward to it at all... Hopefully will be back home and back on DP by tomorrow night Wish me luck
I'm having breakfast first thing in the morning... but anyway, I hope your surgery goes well. I haven't been under the knife since I was 6 years old. All I remember is I got to choose the scent of the anaesthesia, and I picked grape. It was awesome. They probably don't have scented anaesthetics for adults, but if they do I recommend grape.
Nothing to be nervous about...really! I had an operation in January this year and didnt really know what to expect. When the operation came, i was lieing down and they told me to put this oxygen mask on.... it wasn't oxygen Then woke up about 6hrs later, and felt a little groggy. What sort of operation is it?
No worries. Personally, I enjoy being put to sleep for some reason. I've been under twice, and both times I tried to stay awake. It didn't work.
I have never had surgery put to sleep or anything for that matter. Would scare the heck out of me if I ever have to, so all I can say is, I hope it goes all good for you.
Routine hernia surgery... I didn't get any scented anaesthetics - just something that made my skin feel prickly, then I was out like a light I'm home now, and in pretty bad pain, but at least I made it back in one piece - and can kinda sit up at the computer and get back to work.
Great to know that everything went well. But I think you should take some rest rather that working. --Joe
