IMO, it is worth it if you don't like to get paid and you don't mind ads going down or lacking relevance.

Unless your site fits a great eBay niche and AA gets it's act together, AdSense is probably the safe bet for now.

Why switch when you can run both?

Exactly. I run both, havent noticed a dip in my adsense earnings. I didnt even move my adsense ads. My AA income is purely incremental and actually beats adsense.

I think that guerilla summed it up nicely, though seemingly several people don't have any trouble with the trouble so it may be worth a shot? If ya got the time test it...just remember there are a few here claiming they have 100+ clicks and no income.

Do you actually watch your ads? Are they relevant to your keyword?

Of all the folks sticking up for the program, I can respect your answer the best...you stuck the ads in the bottom of your pages where no one generally looks. You just increased your ad real estate. On the off chance they generate anything it's more then you were making before.

Try the real test, swap out you AA and AS ads and see which is really better....especially if it's beating your adsense.

    Qryztufre,

I've done your "test" and already I've been earning more then I was with Adsense. In fact last month was the first month I started AA and was already making low $XXX.xx income, this month I've already tripled last months income.

I can't wait to see my final payout for this month!

Actually, the location of the ads depends on the site. But none of my adsense ads moved. If anything was replaced it was other affiliate ads. They are usually on target when I check them, but I dont watch super close.

As far as those with +100 clicks and no revenue. AA isnt going to work on every site. It just depends on your audience, topic and traffic. Someone with a politics blog isnt going to do as well as someone with a automotive forum for example. I have one forum that adsense did very poorly on, affiliate banners did zero, but AA does GREAT.

yeah, its just a scrip to assist in using the Commission junction program. As I said, most people will only make it to the 50 or 55% tier, while AA pays out on the 75% tier. WHy should I give away 20%?

AuctionAds is not good enough. It destructs users.

If the reporting is off, then you may be giving away that %20 now...maybe more

Other then that, completely sound logic, and possibly worth waiting for to see.

Here's my AuctionAds stats since 8/26

    Total 74070 impressions 514 clicks 0.69 ctr $0.97 earnings

I made $52 the first 30 days, $0.97 the next.

So was shoe paying with money out of his pocket to keep the new user joins coming and to retain sites just to pump up the numbers for the sale?

I doubt he would have done that.

Besides that - he sold it before 8/26 I believe, so he would have had no impact on your numbers.

Additionally, that $52 could easily have been 2 people who signed up for eBay via your link, which pays $25 each I think. Did you have 2 days that were $25 and the rest low amounts?

Every time I see everyone's numbers mimic each other I think "pump and dump". I hope that's not true...I'm a huge Shoe fan.

Then I start thinking it's the publishers running min or max price throwing things off? Is it the geotargeting that went wonky for sites that get a wide range of traffic from different contries?

It looks like some publishers are affected and others are not since August.

I'll describe my site since Aug 28th. Althouht funky stats started around the 8th of August.

    1. CTR before August 28th .25% after August 28th till now .07%
    2. Earnings Before August 28th was $x dollars after August 28th till now dropped 450% per day average(Sept. 21st)
    3. Traffic from my site UK, USA, Canada and Australia in that order.
    4. Use min max price? Yes
    5. Old or New style ads? Old with same original code.

    My solution?
Cut way back on the ads to visitors outside of the USA. I'm starting to wonder if it's the sites with Uk visitors being affected the most.(a geotargetting issue)

Maybe I'm just dreaming AuctionAds will work again....

I'm not a fan of the new Web 2.0 ads. They look to heavy/chunky and really detract from the rest of whats on any site. Thats my 2 cents anyway.
