Best Investment Ever: A Good Chair

A year ago I splurged and bought a Herman Miller Mirra office chair and it has been one of the best investments I have ever made. No matter how long I work at the computer, I never have back pain and it's extremely comfortable. In this line of work, I think a good chair is one of the most important things you can have.

What kind of chairs do you guys have?

I agree with the good chair :). The cheap ones not only don't last long, they hurt your bum. I also enjoy the ball chair at times.

I consider it an investment, because it is an investment in yourself. No back pain means I'm more healthy, comfortable, and willing to work longer hours! In that sense it has already paid for itself :)

You know your right, it's really good investment.
The more comfortable you are, the more you work.
I'm going to buy a better chair soon.

Yeah, thats so true. I have to get up every hour or so, and stretch a little, maybe walk around a little, else my back gets sorta cramped.

Chairs is right up there on my shopping list along with a new mouse :p

Yeah i have had LOADS of chairs in the past cus i have got problems with my back and legs and spend a lot of time at my computer, none were very comfortable i i spent £350 ($700) on a really nice computer chair about 3 months ago, and i can sit at it for 4/5 hours at a time without back pain so im well happy with my investment

my chair is old but still working fine. even it's losing some knots and need to screw it back in once in a while. I like it that i can adjust the height. anyway if any part broke again i may consider buying a new one too.

I have a Steelcase Leap, $1200 chair I got for under $400 thanks to an employee discount. There are some awesome features that made using a Herman Miller Aeron a pain. The mesh to frame transition on Aeron is a circulation killer.
