Not sure if this has been posted or noticed by anyone, but I did a quick lookup and didn't find anything, so here it goes: Google just announced adsense for mobile I've blogged about this already and linked to the official announce at the adsense blog. Your thoughts please? EDIT Just regged ADSENSEFOR.MOBI ADSENSEFORMOBILE.ORG ADSENSEFORMOBILE.US ADSENSEFORMOBILE.MOBI ADSENSEFORMOBILE.NET ADSENSEFORMOBILE.INFO ADSENSEFORMOBILE.BIZ
Interesting new development with technology lets see where this leads Thanks for the 'heads up' shenron
hmm well i feel mobile ads would be all most more of brands and big firms, dont see much of small advertisers get into it.
Yes, this will mark the trend imho. Mobile is the future and PDA's, iphones and who knows Gphones will rule the world. I have a few ideas about this, and after the announce they got stronger. I'll probably write those down in a couple of days.
I just added it to my road rage site. http://www.monkeymeter.com/mobile.php It's not on that page, but once you rate your road rage it says thank you, and shows links underneath. I just started it last night so will see how it goes. No clicks after 4 impressions so far
I figured it was a harmless plug. I'm sure I won't be getting rich of mobile ads. Yikes about the adsense use in domain. Can you name a html page like that? For example if you were writing an article about adsense, could you name it whateverdomainname.com/adsense.html ?
This was expected. Next, Google Can take over the world using your phone! No really though, they're going full fledged.
I'm keen to build sites for mobile but I don't know how using Frontpage. Can anybody tell me where to get free instructions on the Net?
I don't think it will be big. There aren't that many people that surf the web through phones. If you do,you probably got kick-ass phone like me and the kick-ass phones support Javascript. No need for puny ads like that, I can see the regular ads.
I wonder how profitable this will be, I might have to jump in before the big corporate AdSense leaders take advantage . But a good idea overall from Google.
Nope, it's not, there are some rules regarding the use of ads in domains with the word adsense in it, but G can't do anything about the use of the word in your URL. Just have a look at the thousands of adsensesomething URL's around there. (some using ads in it, which is forbidden )
I've to agree with JIM, but in any case I believe this will spot a trend. Mobility is the future and no1 can avoid that. Mobile communications are getting cheaper and faster, I still just don't see how people will start clicking like crazy... eCPM should be rather high IMHO...
