You have proved it true.after all it takes one to know one, does it not!
not as much as you are, bubba!
by the way, when you have finished dishing out your compliments to all and sundry,do read aldous huxley's novels.they will certainly make you see google differently.either way i do not hate google but i certainly will not have anyone from anywhere telling me what to do and wht not to do.
if this was say,for some security reason or a social undertaking that i may understand.but to use only 'no follow' tags from now on and all for google's benefit?!?
the whole thing plays out only to google's benefit.google is raking millions, good for them.but if they want me to use only 'no follow' tags so that they can rake some more?think again.

further more, anything big is always bound to cause ripples and that is true of almost every big corporation.that said,i do not mind google getting even bigger.hey i would love that considering that i have some tech shares.but i will not have my freedom or my rights of expression curtailed so that 'tom' or anyone else can make some money out of it.

IT IS GOOGLE'S PR SYSTEM THAT IS AT DEFAULT.
they should tweak the also to recon the paid links and stop telling us what to do and what not to do.
i believe that they also want us to report or rat out the fellow webmasters if they use paid links?
now they want us to do their job for them??if we do so,do we get paid for it??

i believe some one asked how google is violating the act.well i can go indepth to explain what i 'think' that they are guilty of.instead i shall give the links here and you can check it out for yourself.

    http://consumercourt.netfirms.com/consumercourtmrtp.htm

read the act in detail.every country has this act in some form or the other.i am sure that the United states also has a very similar act and they do enforce it.recently microsoft was held guilty under the same act by europe and was fined 650 million$.so do read the act, think microsoft and then think what google is asking you to do.i am sure that there will be some here who want to bash me so that they can be sen as the 'google' guys but that is fine as well.this is what this forum is for.for arguments, debates and name calling.either way this long long looooong thread has to end sometime,so lets see!

Please learn to use capital letters at the start of a sentence and a space following commas, periods, semicolons, and colons. That might encourage people to read your posts. As it is, they hurt the eyes and the head.

Uh-huh. Those certainly look like authorities on Google to me.

Really past caring about the whole PR update guessing game but can't stop myself from looking at this thread (virtually on a daily basis). Maybe Google is too busy reading and laughing through all 318 pages of this thread to get the job done.

I just noticed that my PageRank is back to "green" when it had been "orange" for the past month or longer. Still at PR4 too.

Maybe we're about to have our first google PR suicide!

Even then, the update probably won't happen :)

Not sure if this has been mentioned before but i don't have time to read 300+ pages but if google were doing away with pr then surely they would have removed it from the options when installing their toolbar as they still ask you if you want to show it or not.

    Just a thought :D

removing pagerank would pave the way for many other reputable companies to implement there own.

I read a rumor sometime ago about it being re branded to "trust rank" with some significant changes to the current algo.

Google are fully aware that millions of webmasters have exploited the current PR system and it absolutely must change I guess that its currently being completely overhauled to combat the likes of paid links, link farms, directories etc.

I cannot guess what exactly these changes will be, and thus why I'm not being paid hundreds of thousands of dollars a year working in google's PR algo department ;)
