Is PRweb worth it?

I am wanting to get a lot of exposure for http://www.thehomedirectory.net once we expand it from Los Angeles real estate to New York real estate as well as Los Angeles so we will have 2 cities and should expand our exposure but I really want to get the word out fast about it and want it to be worth the $80 to get it listed. Has anyone else used this service and do you find it working and worth the money? If the website can get substantial hits and clicks to our advertising we have high paying keywords so that would be good but will the traffic be substantial enough from it? Just wanting to get some information on it before I dive into it. Thanks in advance

You would only know if you give a shot at it. Besides this try to post your press release to other free sites. Dont forget that the quality and content of your press release so important and for that you will need to write professionally to get good publicity.

You can find a nice list of free press release sites here

Forget PRweb in your case. It won't be worth it at any level. You need to reach a regional audience, so contact newspapers, local area sites, etc. manually. You have to know your audience and how to reach them. Despite what you'll see said online a lot, there's no such thing as a one size fits all press release distribution model. Invest some time rather than your money in this case and do it right.

I agree with jhmattern, prweb is no good in your case. I would just get more content on your site.

There are many good PR sites out there, check few of them, also try out your luck for google news if you think the news worth that much.

Best thing to do is go crazy with press releases, get them sent to every local newspaper you know off.. Send them to major journalists (just type press release distribution) into google, its quite cheap to say some send to a list of 80,000+

im going to be constantly submitting press releases for my site, trying to get as much interest as possible

PRweb is a great site to submit a press release to. Your money will be well invested when you see the exposure they can give you from your press release. PWweb press releases can get into Google news. You can also try other PR sites like PR Leap.

I sure hope you're being sarcastic. "Blasting" press releases is the worst thing you can do, ensures that most journalists won't pay attention to your news, and can damage the reputation of your company. To the OP... don't do it.
