Hello everyone, As some of you may know from my posts already i have tried to start accumulating wealth with blogger. Well my financial situation was bad before, now it looks like its gone to worse and i shall be homeless soon, Now i had decided to take this ad sense very seriously and have done nothing but reading books, signing up for websites etc etc, for so many people making at least a small amount of money my target is $50 a day, i figure it MUST be that easy, i mean theres people with 1 page websites making decent money i have seen time and time again, I have about a week and a half until im out on the street, if i can set up ad sense and start turning over at least $30 a day my life will be saved and i can afford to pay rent on a apartment ... all be it minimalistic.

Now theirs alot of smart folks on here, theirs thousands of books , and theirs forums full of information, now i have spent the past week reading and i have learned something very important.

    Its All About The Niche!

Now i know that ... great ... *mental blank* ... so that means ive done all this for nothing because i cant think of a successfull niche.

But if someone isnt going to ask questions then they don't deserve to be educated in my opinion, and im willing to admit im a bit lost, i have no idea how to go about thinking of a niche thats profitable, now although i don't expect you folks to give me a niche what i would ask is , what runs through your mind when decided to start a new website, and what do you do to try and find a new niche?

If you guys could give me some tips im going to spend the next dam week awake on my website working non stop , and i mean that

There is a forum of users here, and everyone thats making big bucks says its easy as pie, well hey my target right now is low, so surely you folks can help me out, im a man on his last dice roll, but im willing to give 1000% and work harder than anything in my life this week, please ... throw me a bone

    Look forward to your responses.

Wow, that's tough luck, Kashmir_Z, and I don't think you should rely on adsense earnings on a site you haven't even created yet to pay for your rent (apply for a real job, even if low paying, and work hard on your sites at night), and no one is going to give you their easy recipe for making money (if there is truly such a thing), but all I can say is at least check the number of advertisers when searching google with the main keyword of your next niche. If there are none, it's probably going to pay low paying, but if there are many, you're probably onto something decent.

So that's one trick of the trade.

Regarding finding a niche, brainstorm a list of 10 or 20 things you're interested in. Then head over to https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal and start plugging in the terms. Google will give you a whole list of related keywords that people are looking up. You can also see what Adwords advertisers are bidding to be in the 1-3 spots. Look for terms with a decent amount of people searching and with at least a couple dollars for the maximum bids. Cross out anything that doesn't make the cut.

Don't worry about trying to find some golden niche where people are paying $20 a click or something. It's better to find something that you're interested in creating a site about.

Once you've got your list narrowed down, type in the keywords and see what's out there. Are there already a lot of frequently updated, high PR sites on top of the SERPs? Or does the number 2 position belong to a random book at Amazon or a listing on ebay (sure signs that it'll be easy to get to the top of the SERPs). If a decent number of people are searching for information on the niche and the competition doesn't look too stiff, dive right in.

Now, regarding making money in the next two weeks....

    Don't bet on it.

Not with Adsense anyway. It takes time to build a profitable content site.

You'd be better off creating your own product (ebook, video tutorials, whatever) and using Adwords to buy traffic, but there's quite a learn curve with information marketing, too, and 2 weeks probably isn't enough to learn everything you need to know.

You can absolutely make money with either of these techniques, but make your goals realistic and give yourself time to learn and succeed!

    Good luck!

Usually, people start with a niche they are good at and know a lot about, but they soon expand into other areas.

It takes many months to start making even $5/day, so you're being unrealistic in your aims. It takes time to build natural traffic.

In anyone else's situation, the above advice is solid - but since you're after money quickly, this forum isn't where you should be focusing on.

That's the harsh reality, I'm afraid.

    there are 2 situation

    1) People pick their own niche following their interest.
    2) People pick their own niche following HPK.
    3) People pick their own niche following the frequency of search volume.

    But for me,

I personally will choose niche following HPK (high payment keyword), because traffic is very easy to find. :)

    regard.

1 - i dont think any legitimate internet entrepreneur is saying making money online is as easy as pie.

2 - you cant start making profit from a brand new site overnight. To start earning something off a website, it takes at least months of effort to earn revenue to even cover the hosting fee. To live off websites will take even longer.

3 - The only possibility to earn money overnight is to learn affiliate marketing. But failure rate is equally high.

4 - Please take note, for every 1 success inspiring story you heard, there could be 99 failures out there. Failures leave silently, those who success stay and inspire others with their story.

    I agree with you.

but please take note (note saying that you're wrong), the reality is I have experience on getting $10 within a day with 12 hours age blog and getting about 500 visitor after that with the technique that I found. And I keep to get about $6-$10 per day from this blog until now just from Adsense. :)

Well said. The people who say it's "easy as pie" are saying it so they can sell their books. And #4 is a good way to look at things on these forums.

Myself, I'm in a similar situation. The things that I'm very knowledgeable about or enjoy doing already have very competitive markets. I only get a few visitors from search engines, and that's supposed to be the free traffic. Yet there's no way I can compete with the other sites for search engine position. I don't know what to do. Not only are the keywords low paying, but the traffic is impossible to get.

That's the spirit. But I'm going to share one "secret" with you that has definitely worked for me, continues to work, and will no doubt still work in the future. In fact it isn't even a secret, although countles gurus package it up as if it were. It's a technique I teach all my clients and its very simple requiring only attitude, a willingness to give it a go, and good manners.

Simply look around you and identify some key people you admire in your industry. Now, email them, or if you have their phone number, call them. Be brief, tell them who you are, what you want to do and your expertise in the subject. Ask them for some time to advise you on the best strategy to make this happen. When you get a conversation going, ask them if they can think of anyone else you should contact, thank them for taking the time to help you, find out if they would be prepared to support you by referring business or providing a testimonial.

As long as you don't resort to spamming, you may very well find that most of the people will reply politely, and a few will stop to help you out. Good luck.

Choose a niche that sells, not one you're interested in. For example, the niche I work with sells well (pharmacy).

Thanks Sirion i really apreciate that, i do once again aplogise for my harsher tone before, i was quite strung out, i am going through not only a rough patch in buisness but a rough point in life.

However i have the dedication and willingness to suceed , said rough patches in life actually have left me with not alot of time, so i had hoped that since it is claimed "moderate instant succes" is possible that i could be, yes i understand it is in some cases but all in all i apologise for my harsh tone, i calmed down, had a scotch and haha its looking up :)

Going to keep that in mind Sirion, my first website got me baned from adsense so im forced to use bidvertiser, so no doubt it will be a bit difficult for me, it was due to the content being anti us government etc, was a anti new world order blog, i still run it however your suggestion has given me a idea to contact a few people :)

To those who say that theirs a 99% failure rate ;) thats wrong, if you are genuine about wanting to put the hard yards in with adsense, it is my firm belief you can't fail, if you put your mind to something 100% in your mind and heart you will fly, it may take time ;) but you will

That's a tough 'niche' to crack. And probably will make you unpopular, but it also gives some great potential link bait and comment discussions. Good luck.

you need to pick a niche that you have some interest in, one that you know some things about, one that you actually like.

For example the sites I run are things I have keen interest in and actually want to know more about.

If you make a site just to make money on some random niche then it will fail.

also my advice is to not use blog spot blogs they suck, actually buy some domains, this is the best move you can make.

It takes a while to understand all marketing and SEO it took me 9 months to 1 year to actually start making decent money online.

Also I dont advise ebook most are a rip off only a very small percentage are actually good.
