i jus got a thought why would the women who wish not to wear a burkha has to wear it. i mean why such a force ? isn't it against humanity to force some one's freedom, wont they feel to wear colorful clothes?
You will soon see comments that it is all voluntry and nobody is forced to wear it . I think more appropriate question will be why Burkha at all ? Ok they consider non-muslims as beasts who can mishandle Muslim women , why Burkha is more in Muslim countries where they have only Muslim brothers?
It has to be forced upon the woman to stop muslim men raping her, otherwise she is "fair game". Also this means that the women are treated like "dimonds & pearls" because of the protection it gives them.
The burkah has nothing to do with Islam. It's all traditional. In Islam, a Hijab is enough. forumrating, seeing that you have so much concern about this issue, why not investigate it further rather than posting such nonsense. I don't deny that SOME are forced but majority of women voluntarily wear it. So please go research, survey the women who wear it.
it is fundamentally wrong in my opinion for women to be segregated from men and forced or feel obligated to wear a burkha or any other type of religious covering. as i understand it the koran only mentions women dressing modestly and doesn't even dwell on the subject, but today it has for some reason become a main and overwhelming part of the religion. and women are forced by law to wear a manteau and hijab in iran, otherwise they can be arrested and imprisoned, and i am sure it is the same in arab states. of course women should feel free to wear whatever they want, and if they want wear a bhurka or any other such religious uniform, then in a free country we cannot stop them, but at the same time they should be aware that in wearing it they are condoning the fundamentally wrong practice of forcing women in less free countries to clothe themselves in such a way. why can they not see that it is men who have enforced this practice, and it is not to do with religion, it is all to do with subjugating women.
And what do you think happens to the women that decide that they don't want to wear a burkha? Do you think that the men in those countries and the religious police don't care? Don't be naive.
Assume what, that women have a choice to wear them in the countries that force them to? Tell me how a woman that doesn't want to wear a burkha in a society that forces her to is good. These are your words: "I don't deny that SOME are forced but majority of women voluntarily wear it. So please go research, survey the women who wear it." It sounds like you're the one that needs to research this some more. A thing isn't voluntary when it's enforced.
im not sure if any women would want to voluntary wear a burkha , say if ur forced to wear one color clothes and same kind, would u like it ? just think in logical terms.
the danger ofburkha is due to the hidden identity, they cud rob a bank by hiding guns in their burka, this has happened few times in the world
that is so true, its so easy to hide, with a burkha only 2 eyes can be seen, how would anyone identify the face if some one does a crime and runs off.
M5love is right, burka is cultural not religious. More info in here In Indonesia, while majority are muslim, wearing hijab is not forced by the law, except in Aceh Province because in aceh they use shari'a law. But, surprisingly many woman in indonesia choose to wear hijab (or in indonesia jilbab) I'm not sure about other countries though.
So this shop dont know what they are selling, they sell burkha as islamic clothing: http://www.islamicboutique.com/islamic-clothing.asp Like this, this is out of this world and to me it looks look torture. No one can convince me that this insane pieces of clothing is made for the well being of woman.
Where in the world they get shari'a law from? What nice book inspires shari'a law? Same book that teaches Jihad?
It was a SIMPLE question. I am a simple dude, so explain in SIMPLE terms please: Where in the world they get shari'a law from? What nice book inspires shari'a law? Same book that teaches Jihad? I am asking because I seem to keep on getting it wrong. On one hand I was told I don't get the meaning of burka, Jihad, and shari'a, and yet all these are inspired by what book? Just to make sure, please clarify these points for me.
you can ask a question without edited my post, that childish. and can you read the subject of this thread? you can create another thread, not stealing another thread.
