Google's 2007-Q3/Q4 PageRank (PR) Update

And exactly how do you think Google is violating that act?

 

well, after this 'latest' update they reduced PR for 1 mark on most of our sites. Traffic remains the same.

Nah...Nov 5th as they skipped the third Q

 

glad to see we are not all sheep gullible to Google's thinly veiled attempts to pass of competition restriction as a something valuable to the community.

by the way... I don't exactly hate google. I am much more afraid of the millions of dollars ATT and Verizon are shelling out to Congress to lobby for internet reform so they can charge more for visiting google.

 

And does anyone know, why did they skipped the 3rd quarter?

 

That is the question most webmasters want to ask Google (including many who say they don't care about PR)

 

A funny answer to that would be they just forgot abt the PR update

 

I don't hate google, hell their traffic has a funny way of paying the rent.. but .. When I actually want to find something.. especially something recent and relevant, i use yahoo or msn

On the contrary I LOVE PR! I love analytics, though there's that part of me that figures i'm trading info for info there.. i love webmaster tools, i love checking my backlinks! .. I love adsence.. or adsence $$ anyway.. I love a lot of things about google! I just think their search results suck.. so does waiting for pr in fact.

 

I think they are trying to tweek the algo a little...hit some paid link directories then figure in the factors of the paid links they banned...Like TLA, Aviva, Alive and I am sure tons more....Tracking down the link buyers..

 

Google is a huge company. They provide a lot of services, most of them for free. Yes, they have a few problems with the result of the searches - lately -, but if they have not exported PR, they must have a very good reason.

Unfortunately - for us - everything we can do is just guess. Speculation and nothing else, because there's nothing conclusive, not even the least statement from Google.

 

Probably - only guessing - they are probing a radically new model that will change the way they pick the pages to reply a search request. Maybe, a new condition of the model includes to delay a little bit the export of PR. Anyway, as long as Google cannot tell webmasters how to run their websites, Google is also not obliged to share vital information - their vital information - with us.

 

I am still waiting for Q3 update. Take your time. It will come.

 

I am thinking of creating a Google's 2008-Q2 Pagerank (PR) Update thread now. By the time it comes around the thread will have a couple million posts in it...LOL

It is an excellent idea! Also by the time it comes you are likely to make US$***** from AdSense.
