Is there any tool available that gives you the report of the popularity of the particular/similar keyword terms ? I want to know how many times the particular/similar keyword has been searched on the search engines.

 

have you tried overtures keyword tool, here is the link http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion not sure how accurate this is or even if it should be used but not bad to get a ball park figure...

Wordtracker is very useful especially the paid version. KeyCompete also provides a useful Keyword suggestion tool, link in my sig.
