Hi I wanted to do something similar to the Wordpress codex (a place where people have a large list on templates to preview) so I recently launched www.phpldaddons.com The template section is at http://www.phpldaddons.com/phpLD-Templates/ Every template has a live preview and specific details (number of columns, xhtml compliant, phpld version, main color and extra features) so users know exactly what they download before using it on their directories. Anyone can submit a template at the submit template page. For everyone interested, I will also make available soon a phpLD 'Expansion Pack'. for more details see http://www.phpldaddons.com/phpLD-Expansion-Pack/ A few sites already run the expansion pack (including the site above) so it will be out of beta soon. Paul Martin
From: http://www.phpldaddons.com/phpLD-Expansion-Pack/ OMG this is exactly what I was asking for yesterday. Looks like you have it in your package I'm interested.
Hi mikey Just refresh that page and try again. It was probably an expired submit session. I submitted myself the 3 templates that you can see on the dir with no problems. Paul P.S. You can see the article submission page and all the other features on the codex template test site: http://www.phpldaddons.com/testrun/?preview=StdIssue
Looking good I am gonna try phpLD Expansion Pack. It looks promising. You can increase the "session" time a bit to avoid such type of errors.
Thanks everyone for the interest and thanks to the ones that already submitted some of their templates - they were reviewed and approved. I'm also inviting everyone to submit phpLD-related sites to the live preview directory. (at http://www.phpldaddons.com/testrun/submit.php?preview=StdIssue for example) - these links will be visible to everyone who looks at a template preview (no matter which template he's looking at) so this means targeted viewers. For this I will give priority to persons that help me make the site better known with a backlink from their side but this is not absolutely necessary. Anyone that places a link can post here or PM me and I'll approve your link right away. I made a note of everyone interested in the expansion pack and I'll pm you when it goes out of beta. Until then, waiting for your templates Paul
Good appreciate it.. Not showing on submit page if ya dont mind adding thier also http://www.phpldaddons.com/submit-template.php thx malcolm
for everyone that showed their interest in the phpLD expansion pack, it's now available for free at http://www.phpldaddons.com/phpLD-Expansion-Pack/ I decided to make the first version available 100% free under the creative commons license detailed on the above link. Depending on the community response future updates and eventually bug fixes will be available. Paul
I have a quick question I am thinking of using the expansion pack on one of my sites what I am wondering what would be considered a compatible template as I would like to keep the one I have
Regarding template compatibility - the expansion pack comes bundled with two compatible templates: Stdissue and Starz These templates have the appropriate coding to handle the extra features available in the expansion. without them you will be unable to use the features that are not entirely related to the admin area. More templates will be available soon in the expansion pack templates area Also, there's another thread here where you can find more info and post questions Paul
an new update was made to the expansion pack which might interest all of you because some features have been fixed. this should be the last bug fix update for this version.
