    Hello guys,

i'm conbsidering getting a dedicated server and I got a dilema:

    1- Core2Duo E6400

    2- Dual Core A64 4800

which one is more powerful? I will need the server for video hosting like Youtube (smaller version but still a very large video site)

I would choose the SoftLayer Datacenter related servers despite the actual server route you decide to take. They truly are the best Datacenter in my honest opinion in terms of.. well, everything

i'm not sure if it consumes so much cpu, it's a youtube clone.

the bandwidth is 2000GB for softlayer. I mean the speed of the website. I saw that my site is rather slow when i click on the go button to go the site.

Well if you will stream videos from your server then 2TB will be gone in a few days... unless you have a small website which wouldn't need dedicated hosting in the 1st place...

Toby, our Komodo dedicated server is pretty much equal to a Core2Duo E6400. The clock speed is the same, but the E6400 costs like twice as much for a processor. The Core2duaos are supposed to be better, so in that case, I would say our Gila Monster Dedicated Server is probably more on par with number two on your list.
