I accidentally went into my WP admin panel and changed the URL to something else. Now, I can't get to anywhere on my site. How do I go about changing the URL back? I looked in my ftp but I can't find the proper file.

    1. Login to cpanel and click MySQL® Databases/phpMyAdmin
    2. Click on your database name ( left bar )/wp_options/browse. option_id 1 refering to your current url. :)

    Not possible, I guess.
Have to get access to your MySQL database.

You can't. The url is a stored value in the database.

Jerlene, let's say if you change the url from domain.com/x/ to domain.com/y/, please use ftp program and rename folder x to y ( with the same permission level ) and you should able to login as admin again using your previous admin password. :)

I don't think you get what I did. I changed the URL in the ACP, I didn't create a new folder.

All you need to do is get into the database via phpmyadmin and change the URL as was suggested above.

I have done this many times to shuffle WP sites.. Do you not have access to your database?

Oh, I see! Well would it by chance be the same password as your ftp?

There is probably a way to edit the database in a shell (SSH) But that would take a real command line geek to know what shell commands to use. I would sugest you get into your DB via phpmyadmin.. Recover your password some how or have it reset by your host.. The database of your site is not a good place to be locked out of.
