I've decided to give red a go in my signature. Will let you all know what impact it has (if any).

I have to say that I automatically block out the coloured ones. Especially blue and red. I'm not sure why, but unless the signature has something my brain will pick up in the wording (such as something I'm interested in), then I scroll past them without seeing them. As for the 'Learn how I did this' ones, if I do notice them, I will normally mouseover and if I see it's an affiliate link I won't click.

I guess I'm a sceptical nazi when it comes to signatures. I can't remember the last time I clicked on an advert (banner or text) on any website though.

I think most of web savvy folks will check out the mouse over url first.

I thought that my signature line would be funny and, therefore, somewhat productive, but I have not seen much in the way of results from it. Perhaps it is too far past the initial release of the 'Larry the Cable Guy' movie for people to even get it.

But it does lead me to the follow on question as to whether a signature line on DP is useful beyond SEO backlinking, anyway?

Short and to the point (centered with color as well) works wonders for me.
